Laurel Hurd is responsible for leading Newell Brands’ Writing Division, including Sharpie, Paper Mate, Expo, Elmer’s and Dymo, in addition to the Fine Writing brands, which include Waterman, Parker and rOtring.
Prior to Newell Brands, Laurel had an accomplished tenure at Newell Rubbermaid, having spent nearly two decades in various sales, marketing, research & development and leadership positions.
Laurel was promoted to Vice President, Global Development in 2012, leading both Marketing and Research & Development for the Graco, Aprica and Teutonia brands globally. In May 2014, Laurel became President of Baby & Parenting, leading the acquisition of Baby Jogger and later assuming leadership of the Home & Baby segment, including the Calphalon, Goody and Rubbermaid consumer brands.
After the integration of Jarden and formation of Newell Brands, Laurel became CEO of the Baby Division, which added the NUK , Lillo and Tigex brands into the baby portfolio.
Laurel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
