Laurel Hurd is Segment President, Learning & Development, leading both Newell Brands' Baby and Writing businesses.
Prior to her current role, Laurel became Division CEO, Baby after the creation of Newell Brands in 2016. She then moved to lead the Writing Division as Division CEO in February 2018.
Laurel previously had an accomplished tenure at Newell Rubbermaid, having spent nearly two decades in various sales, marketing, research & development and leadership positions. Laurel was promoted to Vice President, Global Development in 2012, leading both Marketing and Research & Development for the Graco, Aprica and Teutonia brands globally. In May 2014, Laurel became President of Baby & Parenting, leading the acquisition of Baby Jogger and later assuming leadership of the Home & Baby segment, including the Calphalon, Goody and Rubbermaid consumer brands.
Laurel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
