Rich Mathews is the Chief Marketing Officer of Newell Brands and is responsible for strengthening our leading portfolio of brands and driving category growth through brand building, brand activation, trade marketing and innovation capabilities. He also oversees the organization’s design, consumer marketing insights and marketing operations functions.
Rich has been with Newell Brands for 16 years, and has most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Home Fragrance Division. He previously led marketing teams in the Tools, Labeling and Baby businesses as well as enterprise marketing skills development and training during his tenure with the company.
Prior to joining the company, Rich worked as general manager at Amazon.com and held a variety of marketing and sales roles of increasing responsibility at Black & Decker.
Rich earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from University of Massachusetts’ Isenberg School of Management.
