Samantha “Sam” Charleston is the Senior Vice President of Talent & Culture for Newell Brands. She has global responsibility for Organizational & Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Culture and Diversity & Inclusion.
Sam joined Newell in 2015 to lead HR for the Global Customer Development Organization (CDO). Since joining Newell, she has led several transformation projects including the integration of Jarden legacy Sales into Newell Brands CDO and the absorption of the global functions into the Business Unit Model.
Sam was appointed to Vice President, Human Resources, Baby Business Unit in 2017. She then moved to the Global Writing Business in 2018 and, in early 2019 her scope expanded to include HR leadership for both Businesses as Segment Vice President. Most recently Sam led the Return to Office (RTO) task force, paving the way for a safe return to the office for employees who have been working from home. Her expertise and knowledge were featured in CNBC.
Prior to Newell Brands, Sam previously had an accomplished tenure at Kraft Foods, Inc., having spent more than two decades in various Supply Chain and Human Resources leadership positions.
Sam earned a Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, Lake Forest IL. and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta Ga.
