Samantha “Sam” Charleston is the Senior Vice President, Talent & Culture at Newell Brands where she has global responsibility for Organizational & Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Culture and Diversity & Inclusion. Sam was previously the Vice President, HR, of the Learning & Development segment at Newell Brands and prior to that, she led HR for the Global Customer Development Organization at the company. Sam has led a number of company transformational projects including, but not limited to, the integration of Jarden legacy Sales into Newell Brands, the absorption of the global function into the Business Unit Model, and most recently, the Return to Office task force.
Prior to joining Newell Brands, Sam spent 23 years with Kraft Foods in both Supply Chain and Human Resources. Sam was the Senior HR Director at Kraft Foods for the Enhancers and Snacks Business Unit, which encompasses iconic brands such as Planters, A1, Kraft Mayo and BBQ, with oversight for a 22 person HR team and 2500+ employees.
Sam earned her Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Psychology from Clark Atlanta University.
