Daily Gist is the Vice President, Research & Development, for the Writing business where she partners with the Writing leadership team to continue to drive innovation for the Writing business and prepare it to embrace changing consumer trends. Daily also holds responsibility for the company’s Enterprise Platform Innovation, where she helps create breakthrough product innovation for the future by maximizing opportunities to capitalize on synergies across the Newell Brands enterprise relating to technology, engineering processes, chemistries, etc.

Daily has held a number of leadership roles at Newell Brands within the Project Management Office, Rubbermaid Commercial Products and, prior to its sale, Irwin Industrial Tools.

She has over 20 years of experience in product development, starting her career in the power the tool industry at Porter Cable Power Tools. Daily is passionate about bridging the gap between strategy and execution with design and actionable consumer insights.

Daily holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Product Design from Auburn University.
