Gerardo Lopez retired in October 2022 as Executive in Residence and previously served as Operating Partner and Head of the Operating Group at Softbank Investment Advisers, a subsidiary of Softbank Group. Prior to his role at Softbank, Mr. Lopez was operating partner at High Bluff Capital, a private investment firm focused on consumer facing companies. Prior to High Bluff Capital, Mr. Lopez was the president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Extended Stay America, Inc. and ESH Hospitality, Inc., the largest integrated owner and operator of company-branded hotels in North America. Before joining Extended Stay America, Mr. Lopez was the president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc., an entertainment and theatrical exhibition company.

Mr. Lopez also has held positions of increasing responsibility at a variety leading consumer companies including Starbucks, a roaster, restaurant and retailer of specialty coffee products; Handleman Entertainment Resources, a former music distribution company; International Home Foods, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of food products; the Frito-Lay and Pepsi-Cola divisions of PepsiCo, Inc., a manufacturer of food and beverage products; and The Procter & Gamble Company, a manufacturer and marketer of consumer goods. Mr. Lopez serves as member of the board of directors of CBRE Group, Inc., a real estate services and investment firm, and Realty Income Corp., a real estate investment trust.
