Newell Brands was proud to celebrate Women’s History Month. Acknowledged by Forbes as one of The World’s Top Female Friendly Companies, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment and being a great place to work, grow and thrive.

Newell kicked off Women’s History Month by joining the #BreaktheBias movement in celebration of International Women's Day. Employees were invited to share photos of themselves with hands crossed to signify support for women’s equality and breaking biases in our communities.

RAY, our employee resource group (ERG) for women and allies hosted a virtual tour called “Feisty Women of the Metropolitan Museum of Art”. Hosted by Professor Andrew Lear the tour introduced attendees to the strong, outspoken women of history whose portraits hang in the museum.

In partnership with OPEN, Newell’s ERG for LGBTQ+ employees and allies, RAY also sponsored a conversation on “Expanding Gender Equity to Include ALL Women” to provide participants a much-needed consideration of gender equity from the perspective of multiple intersections.

Finally, our office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DI&B) hosted a virtual ‘Lunch and Learn’ discussion with Jeanne Theoharis, author of “The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks” and members of Newell’s nonprofit partner Teaching for Change.

We commend the terrific programming organized by RAY and OPEN and thank them for their efforts in March and throughout the year.
