In late June, Newell Brands’ Global Supply Chain & Procurement team recognized its annual Sites of the Year, celebrating teams that are helping build a stronger, safer and more sustainable supply chain.
This year’s recipients were Maryville, U.S., for Manufacturing Site of the Year and Fradley, U.K., for Distribution & Transportation Site of the Year.
The annual awards recognize sites for outstanding leadership, strong performance across key metrics, commitment to site culture and active involvement in Newell’s continuous improvement program, PEAK – which stands for Planning, Engagement, Achievement and Knowledge. Their ability to deliver results during times of transformation reflects the values that drive Newell forward: ownership, collaboration, operational excellence and a shared commitment to winning together.
Across both sites, teams demonstrated what it means to take accountability for results, care for their people, strengthen their communities and continuously improve the way they work. Their achievements are a powerful example of how Newell’s Global Supply Chain & Procurement teams are building a stronger global operation.
Newell’s supply chain plays a critical role in bringing the company’s brands to consumers around the world. The company operates approximately 40 manufacturing facilities across five continents and approximately 60 regional distribution centers and warehouses.
Meet the 2025 Sites of the Year
Maryville, U.S.
Maryville was recognized for its continued progress in PEAK, strong productivity savings and performance across key metrics. The site’s achievements reflect a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and pride in delivering excellence every day.
Maryville also recently completed a facility-wide refresh, including updated design elements and revamped meeting spaces. The refreshed space showcases the team’s commitment to creating an environment that supports collaboration, innovation and engagement. In 2025, the facility welcomed the Newell Brands Board of Directors and a group of investors, giving them the opportunity to see firsthand the team’s work and better understand Maryville’s role in driving innovation and excellence across the business.
Highlights include:
Generated significant savings through scrap and rework improvements
Became the first Newell site to achieve PEAK Climb 2
Achieved a Total Recordable Incident Rate of 0.0, with 1.45 million hours injury-free
Drove notable productivity gains
Maryville’s recognition reflects the broader role of frontline teams across Newell’s operations. Our frontline employees are central to the company’s ability to assemble, create, store and move products across our global network, and we continue to invest in training, automation and career development to help employees build technical skills for the future.
Fradley, U.K.
Fradley was honored for its strong performance in productivity, safety and sustainability. The site continues to model what it means to operate with purpose, balancing business results with care for people, resources and regulatory requirements.
Over the past two years, Fradley has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 37% and water usage by 71%, while also prioritizing biodiversity around the site. These efforts demonstrate the team’s commitment to responsible operations and long-term value creation.
As a multi-brand distribution center, Fradley has also delivered significant sales, showing the power of One Newell in action. The site’s results reflect strong ownership and a shared focus on enabling performance across the business.
Highlights include:
Achieved a 94% safety score and more than 650 accident-free days
Advanced to Climb 1 PEAK maturity
Enabled growth through a new mezzanine and facility expansion
Delivered cost ahead of target
Fradley’s performance also reflects Newell’s broader commitment to sustainable transportation and responsible operations. In 2025, 100% of ton-miles were transported on SmartWay-approved carriers across the U.S. and Canada, and Newell continued tracking energy, emissions, waste, water and renewable energy across its global facilities to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact.
Building a stronger Newell
The achievements at Maryville and Fradley demonstrate the impact of PEAK across Newell’s supply chain. Since its launch in 2018, PEAK, has helped teams solve problems, reduce waste, improve safety, support quality and create sustainable results. The program has been implemented in 38 locations and eight functional teams globally.
Safety is also central to both awards. Newell’s global safety program, SEAL — Safety Excellence and Leadership — establishes consistent safety standards across locations worldwide, while empowering employees to take ownership of their own safety and report unsafe acts or conditions.
Congratulations to Maryville and Fradley for their well-earned recognition as 2025 Sites of the Year. Their achievements are a testament to the dedication, resilience and ownership of Newell teams around the world.
