Newell Brands recently announced a series of senior leadership changes designed to enhance operational execution, accelerate a culture of innovation, and further advance the company’s corporate strategy. Home & Commercial Segment and Enterprise Business-to-Business Leadership
Mike McDermott has been appointed to lead Newell’s Enterprise-wide Business-to-Business (B2B) capability, enabling a stronger focus on expanding distribution, increasing channel precision, and unlocking growth opportunities in sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, and government. Mr. McDermott will continue to lead the Home Fragrance and Commercial businesses within the Home & Commercial Segment.
In support of Newell’s corporate strategy and investment in the Kitchen business, Melanie Huet, recently serving as Chief Marketing Officer, has been appointed Co-CEO of the Home & Commercial Segment. In this capacity, Melanie will aim to accelerate market share growth and innovation across our iconic Kitchen brands like Oster, FoodSaver, Calphalon, Mr. Coffee and more, leveraging her deep expertise in brand management, consumer insights and commercial leadership.
Chief Marketing Officer Appointment
Given Ms. Huet’s appointment, Nick Hammitt has been named Chief Marketing Officer of Newell Brands. He will join the Newell’s Executive Committee, reporting directly to the President & CEO, Chris Peterson. Mr. Hammitt joined the company earlier this year as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to Newell, Mr. Hammitt held senior marketing roles at leading global consumer products goods companies, including The Campbell’s Company, PepsiCo, and Unilever. As Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Hammitt will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Newell’s marketing strategies to drive brand growth, increase market share, and enhance consumer engagement and conversion across all touchpoints and marketing channels.
