Eleven Belgian companies received the prestigious “Factory of the Future” title this year, the highest number of new laureates since the program began.
The annual awards, presented in the presence of Flemish Minister‑President Matthias Diependaele and Walloon Deputy Minister‑President Pierre‑Yves Jeholet, celebrate companies that stand at the forefront of operational excellence, digital maturity, and sustainable production.
Setting the Standard for World‑Class Manufacturing
“Factories of the Future” are organizations that fully embrace the next era of manufacturing. To be recognized, companies must demonstrate strength across several key dimensions, including:
Digitalization and smart processes
Talent development and workforce empowerment
Sustainable product and production systems
Efficient, thoughtful use of energy and materials
Candidates undergo a rigorous review by an expert jury and must score at least 8 out of 10 across each category. Only then may they carry the title for three years.
