Empowering Communities, One Grant at a Time
We are proud to announce the 2025 Local Impact Grant Program (LIGP) recipients, powered by the Newell Brands Charitable Foundation, a philanthropic initiative that puts the power of giving directly into the hands of employees. This year, 15 nonprofit organizations across the United States, including nine multi-year LIGP recipients, will receive a collective $175,000 in grant funding, supporting causes that range from child development and education to hunger relief and animal welfare.
A Legacy of Employee-Led Philanthropy
Launched in 2019, LIGP invites employees to nominate and vote for local nonprofits located within 30 miles of a Newell office or facility. Eligible organizations must also align with Newell’s philanthropic focus areas:
Child Safety & Development
Education
Home, Health & Hunger
Outdoor & the Environment
This employee-driven approach ensures that the company’s charitable giving reflects the values and passions of its workforce, while fostering deeper community engagement.
“This initiative goes beyond giving back. It encourages our employees to shape how we give,” said Christina Moylan, Director of Corporate Philanthropy at Newell Brands. “We’re proud to support the missions of our grant recipients and honored to help drive their impact forward.”
