Newell Brands officially welcomed its 2026 Camp Newell Brands intern class this week, launching a 12-week summer internship program designed to provide hands-on business experience, leadership development and exposure to innovation across one of the world’s leading consumer goods companies.

The 2026 internship program includes 51 undergraduate and MBA interns representing 23 universities across the United States and Canada. Interns will work across nine Newell Brands locations and support teams in Information Technology (IT), Research & Development (R&D), Packaging, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, eCommerce and Sales, reflecting the broad range of career opportunities available across the organization.

Camp Newell Brands is Newell Brands’ flagship summer internship experience, focused on developing emerging talent through meaningful work, executive exposure, mentorship and professional growth opportunities. The paid internship program runs from May through August and provides interns with direct ownership of strategic business projects that support real company initiatives and priorities.

As part of the experience, each intern has been assigned an individual project featuring an artificial intelligence (AI) component, reinforcing Newell Brands’ continued focus on innovation, digital transformation and future-ready capabilities. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects and recommendations to company leaders during end-of-summer presentations, providing valuable exposure to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

“Our internship program is designed to provide meaningful experiences that help students grow professionally while contributing to impactful work across the business,” said the Early Career Programs team. “We are so excited to welcome this exceptional group of interns to Newell Brands and support them throughout the summer.”

The program officially kicked off with a hybrid onboarding experience hosted both virtually and in person across company locations. Interns participated in technology setup, team introductions, onboarding activities and ice-breaking networking opportunities before joining a company-wide orientation session streamed live through Microsoft Teams.

The afternoon orientation agenda introduced interns to Newell Brands’ culture, leadership priorities and innovation strategy through a series of executive presentations and interactive learning sessions. Topics included company culture, professional development resources, sustainability initiatives, AI at Newell Brands and innovation across the company’s iconic portfolio of brands. During her welcome remarks, Chief Strategy Officer Karina Krulig encouraged interns to stay curious, build relationships and confidently contribute new ideas throughout the summer, emphasizing the value of learning through experience and collaboration.

Building on those themes of innovation and collaboration, interns also participated in several product innovation showcases featuring recent business initiatives and launches, giving interns insight into how cross-functional teamwork, consumer insights and innovation drive Newell Brands’ businesses and brand growth.

Additional orientation programming included LinkedIn Learning resources, introductions to BRAVO — the company’s employee recognition platform — and sessions focused on innovation and leadership development. Throughout the summer, interns will continue participating in social events, volunteer opportunities, networking activities, leader lunch-and-learns and professional development training designed to help build career readiness and strengthen connections across the organization.

To further support mentorship and career growth, every intern is paired with both a manager and mentor who will provide guidance, feedback and support throughout the internship experience.

The 2026 intern class represents all Newell Brands business segments and corporate functions, bringing together students with diverse educational backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. By combining experiential learning with mentorship, innovation exposure and executive engagement, Camp Newell Brands continues to strengthen the company’s investment in developing future leaders.

As the summer begins, Newell Brands looks forward to the ideas, creativity and fresh perspectives this year’s interns will bring to teams across the organization. Through collaboration, innovation and real-world business experience, the 2026 Camp Newell Brands class will play an important role in shaping the future of the company while building valuable skills for their careers ahead.
