In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Newell Brands Benefits team is hosting a variety of virtual programs throughout May for employees around the world; highlights include meditation and movement sessions, workshops on emotional wellbeing and discussions about the link between emotional and physical health. To further support the mental health and wellbeing of our employees year-round, Newell offers a variety of resources focused on self-care and resiliency. Additionally, the Newell Brands Charitable Foundation renewed our partnership with Crisis Text Line. Crisis Text Line is a global nonprofit that provides free access to critical, on-demand support for those suffering with stress, anxiety, eating disorders, bullying, relationship strife, depression, suicide and/or self-harm.

The organization uses a network of volunteer counselors who are available by text 24/7 and thoroughly trained on supporting people experiencing crises related to mental health. Crisis Text Line is focused on using empathy and innovation to reach people wherever they are in order to eliminate feelings of isolation and loneliness. Their services are available in English and Spanish in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Ireland, with plans to expand to other countries in the future.
